Professional photography is a cherished gift. These are moments that have been captured by us for you to cherish for a lifetime. All of these photographed moments will help you remember just how little your baby was, the feeling you felt as you said "I Do", as well as remembering your child's personality at each milestone. There are so many components that play a part in creating these permanent memories. Every image produced represents the hours of preparation before, during and after your session. Each image represents the sleepless nights we have spent to educate ourselves to learn the art of photography, the thousands of dollars of invested in equipment and props, and most importantly, the time we have spent away from our family in order to give you these cherished memories. Each image is also the result of countless hours of practice, patience and dedication which allows us to learn how to properly, comfortably and safely handle and pose newborns, children and families. Additionally, we are a legitimate and legal business and unfortunately, there are costs associated with that; supplies, equipment, props, taxes, insurance, marketing & advertising as well as our overhead costs. Our session & product fees are carefully calculated, taking all of those costs into consideration.
Do you travel?
Yes! We love to travel! Whether it is for your special day or for your family pictures, we are always up for an adventure! We include up to 50 miles (round trip) travel radius from 56283 in our creative and collection fees. Time and travel above this will be invoiced at the following: $50.00 fee for locations beyond 50-100 miles (round trip), $75.00 fee for locations between 100 miles (round trip). You are responsible for covering any additional fees and costs related to on location choices (admission fees, parking, etc.).
What is your availability?
For the majority of the year, we operate on a full time basis. However, we designate certain days of the week for our family. We do believe we are accommodating and flexible with our schedules. Currently, we are booking sessions Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays, however given enough notice, we may be able to make other days work. We are booking out 2-3 weeks out but for the Fall season, we book out months ahead. If you are pregnant, please contact us at least 30 days before your due date to ensure availbility. This allows us to properly plan for your photography session. Thank you for allowing us to keep a successful balance between work and family.
How to book a session?

Because we only take on a limited number of sessions per month, we urge you to reach out to us as soon as possible. Keep in mind all sessions are due in full at the time of booking.
How do we pay?
We accept all major US-issued credit, debit, prepaid or gift cards with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover logo. We do accept cash and checks, however your session is not booked until your check clears. If your check is returned, we charge a $35 non-negotiable returned check fee on top of any bank fees incurred as a result.
When to book my session?
We recommend booking your session as soon as possible to guarantee availability. We only book a designated amount of sessions per month. Currently, we are booking about 2-3 weeks out. For newborn sessions, please book your session while you are still pregnant (preferably between 20 - 30 weeks). We will book your session on your due date and once baby arrives, please contact us and we will schedule your session within the baby's first two weeks of life.
What is included in your portrait session fees?
The portrait session fee reserves your session date and time, covers pre-session planning, use of props and backdrops, as well as a private in person gallery reveal and ordering session. Our investment page specifically outlines what each session includes. The portrait session fee includes twenty (20) high resolution professionally edited digital images. It does not include taxes, additional prints or products.
Where do the sessions take place?
During the Spring - Fall seasons, we prefer to hold our sessions outdoors (weather permitting). Some sessions are held indoors (e.g.: newborn and cake smash + splash sessions) and are preferably held in our studio here in Redwood Falls in order to utilize our fun collection of props, backgrounds and accessories.
What if my child(ren) is/are sick?
Please notify us immediately if your child isn't feeling like themselves. We want to capture your child's personality. We will reschedule your session as soon as possible.
How long do the sessions last?
This depends on the session. Children, Senior and Family sessions include up to 60 minutes, and newborn sessions include up to 3 hours. Cake smash + splash sessions include up to 45 minutes of session time. Milestone sessions (sessions included in the 'My First Year' and 'Grow with Me' collections) are 30 minutes long.
Do you have accessories, backgrounds and props?
Yes! We have a huge collection of hats, bows, headbands, tutus, rompers, wraps, cocoon bowls, baskets, hair clips, dresses and outfits. We also have plenty of furniture, stools, chairs and misc. props. You are more than welcome to bring your own props and accessories! We are always adding to our collection so there is never a shortage of ideas and creativity. If you desire something custom or special made for your session, we ask that you provide whatever that is -- we are always happy to include these special items in your session!
What should I wear to my session?
We want your photos to be an expression of you! Wear what you love! You can keep it simple or dress it up! Scarves, jewelry, boots, hats, jackets can add a lot of character to any photo. Coordinating solid colors & patterns are encouraged and it's better to coordinate versus be too matchy matchy. Typically, busy patterns are discouraged as they can be distracting to the eye. If you're unsure, send us a message with some photos of the outfits you are considering.
How soon can we see our images?
After your photo shoot, we will schedule your in person gallery reveal/image selection session. You will then go through your gallery of images on an iPad and designate which twenty (20) digital images you want. After this session, we will upload these designated twenty (20) images up in a private password protected online gallery for download. The gallery will be open for thirty (30) days. After thirty (30) days, your gallery will expire and images will be purged. You'll be able to download these images directly to your computer. If you desire an USB or CD of images, this is certainly an option at an additional charge. We also will post a few of your favorite images on our Facebook page after this session.
How long do I have to download my images?
Online download galleries will be available for thirty (30) days and images must be downloaded within that timeline, due to space constraints. After thirty (30) days, the gallery will expire and be removed from the site. Should you need more time, please contact us. Without contact, images will be purged from our galleries. Should you desire an USB or CD containing the images, this is certainly an option at an additional charge of $25.00 plus tax.
What if I need a refund?
Session fees are non refundable because we do secure a date and time for you and our time cannot be refunded should the date not work out. Additionally, we begin to plan and design for your session as soon as the fee is paid. Also, we only schedule a limited number of sessions per month. For those reasons, the session fee is non-refundable. However, if the weather is uncooperative, or if your child is sick, or an emergency comes up, we will reschedule your session as soon as possible. Due to the custom nature of photography, all sales are final. Credits and special offers are non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for cash. However, should something not meet your expectations, it is your responsibility to contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
What if I need to reschedule my photo session?
Requests for rescheduling are granted only at our discretion. As stated, you will have one allowance to reschedule your session (exception for illness & emergencies). After a first request to reschedule or if the session is not held within 30 days of the original session date, the portrait session fee is forfeited and the current pricing will apply to the new session. If someone becomes ill, please call or message us as soon as possible to reschedule. We maintain the right to reschedule if needed due to weather, illness, emergency, etc.
Do you sell/give unedited images?
No, we do not sell unedited images. The reason we do not is because we shoot in RAW format. Essentially, shooting in RAW means only half of the process of developing a photograph is done. We still need to go in and adjust levels and reformat it so you can properly make prints & products from it. Additionally, the images we create are copyright protected, including the RAW images. We do allow clients to purchase a personal print release with the purchase digital images, however, we will never distribute unedited images.
I'm having trouble downloading or accessing my images. What do I do?
Once images have been downloaded, they will be located on your computer. Generally, this is under the 'Downloads' folder on a Mac, or 'Temporary Files' on a Windows computer. We are unable to assist in locating those files so please be mindful of where the images have downloaded on your computer. You are welcome to download your gallery as many times as desired for up to thirty (30) days. If you are having trouble downloading your images, some individuals have a firewall in place that prevents downloads. You may need to temporarily disable this to allow for downloads. Use your own discretion. Studio Eleven Photography is not responsible for the consequences of this or for troubleshooting in this manner. USBs and CDs containing the images are available at an additional charge of $25.00 plus tax.
What if I lose my discs of images or prints?
If you should require a replacement for digital images, there will be a $25 fee in addition to a $25 un-archival fee contingent on if we have not purged them. Studio Eleven Photography, is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged digital files. Prints will need to be repurchased at our current pricing.
Can I combine images from a previous session and a recent session onto a disc?
We understand some may want to pick and choose images from previous sessions and recent sessions, but no, you may not. Clients must choose their twenty (20) digital images from that respective clients -- they may not mix/match from previous or future sessions.
